The Mission

The African American Historical Society of Beloit was established in January, 2020 to ensure that the African American history of Beloit, Wisconsin would be researched, documented, preserved and celebrated.  More importantly, to present an accurate account and increase the awareness of Beloit's rich African American history to the Beloit community.

“Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and hope of the slave. I rise, I rise, I rise.”
